
Saif Syed, MD
Dr. Saif Syed is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Fellowship-Trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon with more than two decades of experience in dermatologic surgery, skin cancer treatment, and practice leadership. He earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University before completing an Internal Medicine Internship and Dermatology Residency at Drexel University. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Syed founded Skin Care Specialty Physicians in 2007 as a solo dermatology and Mohs surgery practice. Under his leadership, the organization has grown from four employees to a multi-location practice with twelve Board Certified Physicians, five Advanced Practice Providers, and more than seventy employees serving patients throughout Maryland. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Syed founded Specialty Consulting Services, an information technology and practice management consulting company that supports physician practices and small businesses across multiple states.
Dr. Syed has been actively involved in physician education, resident training, healthcare technology implementation, and organized dermatology throughout his career. He has served in leadership roles within the Maryland Dermatologic Society and the Dermatology Foundation and has received numerous awards recognizing his contributions to dermatology and medical education.
