Zain Syed, MD

Dr. Zain Syed is a Baltimore native graduating with degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, an MBA from the University of Baltimore, and a medical degree from the University of Virginia. He completed his Dermatology residency at the University of Maryland, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Dr. Syed then completed fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Dermatologic Oncology and Complex Reconstructive Surgery at the Dayton Skin Surgery Center in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Syed holds dual Board Certification in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery, is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He also underwent additional training in the management of venous disease and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.

Dr. Syed serves multiple leadership positions in the dermatologic community, including being the past president of the Maryland Dermatologic Society, is an active publisher of scientific articles in professional journals and presents at various national and international professional conferences. He currently serves as the Surgical Director of the Mohs and Skin Surgery Center at SCSP.
